
Share the Warmth this Winter, Bulldogs! Rincon's TREC Winter Blanket drive is January 22 - February 2, 2024. TREC is collecting clean/gently used blankets. Families or students can drop off donations at the Rincon Middle School Office or student’s 1st period class.



Tomorrow, Thursday 1/11, is the deadline to sign up for After School Enrichment programs! Programs offered through Rincon include: Girls on the Run, Sewing, Art Studio, Theater, Zspace Virtual Reality Mission to Mars, Weight Training, Embroidery, ESports, Fishing as a Whole, Lego League, and Chess Club. Programs offered through vendors include: A Step Beyond (dance) and San Diego Legion Flag Rugby League.





The PTSA is hosting it's annual "Holiday Lights Drive-Thru" on Thursday, December 21st from 6:30-7:30pm. It is a free event to the public - come drive on through Rincon and enjoy the array of festive lights, dancing elves, and music. AVID will be on site selling fundraiser chocolate bars for $1 each. Thursday: Hat Day - Hats off to being drug free.
Friday: Halloween Color Day - Wear Halloween colors and say “BOO” to drugs.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are here! Conferences are walk-in and limited to 10 minutes per teacher. Chairs will be outside of each teachers room for parents to wait, should a teacher have another parent in their room. You can visit your student's teachers in any order.

Escondido Union School District’s GATE program provides instruction and support that meet the unique and diverse educational needs of students. All 2nd graders will participate in universal screening for GATE identification in November. For students in grades 3 through 8, parents and teachers may submit a referral for GATE screening. A school team will review referral requests and determine students’ eligibility for screening.

Please mark your calendars and plan to attend an upcoming Coffee with the Principal meeting this Friday, September 8th, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in Room 26. The meeting is our annual Title I Parent meeting which will focus upon Title I Federal funding at Rincon, family engagement opportunities, and the ability for parents and guardians to provide feedback regarding our School-Parent Compact.

This Friday, August 25th, the Rincon PTSA is hosting a Family Movie Night, "Super Mario Bros Movie" (rated PG). The MPR doors open at 5:45pm and the movie starts at 6:30pm. Admission is free! Bring your own chair or blanket to sit on. The Snack Shack will be open for purchases while supplies last. Cash and credit accepted for food sales.



Mark your calendars! August 22nd is school picture day. Students will take their photo for the yearbook and their student ID card. Physical student ID cards will be delivered to Rincon approximately two weeks later and distributed to students.
The photographer uses a green screen background, so when you are planning your outfit and hairstyle, remember to NOT wear green. :)
About a week after picture day, look for an email with a link to your students pictures.


This coming school year (2023-24), ALL students entering 7th grade will need proof of an adolescent whooping cough booster shot (Tdap) before starting school.
By law, 7th-grade students who do not show proof of receiving a Tdap booster shot and 2 doses of Varicella will not be allowed to start school. (The tetanus-diphtheria booster shot, Td, will not meet the requirement.) Please contact your doctor or the school health office to clarify whether your child has received the correct vaccination.
If you have already provided this information, thank you! If you have not, please bring or email (rinconenrollment@eusd.org) proof prior to school starting.
