Wednesday was Administrative Professionals’ Day. I would like to take a moment to thank our amazing preschool office staff- Cecilia, Nancy, and Evelyn.Thank you for all you do to keep our office and program running smoothly .

CALLING ALL 3 YEAR OLDS! Applications for the 2024-25 school year will be available online beginning May 1, 2024. Please visit preschool.eusd.org/o/preschool on or after May 1st to apply. We are accepting applications for students who will have their 3rd birthday by August 20, 2024. If your child will turn THREE during the 24-25 school year, you can apply on or after their third birthday.

What's eSports all about? In EUSD, it's more than just gaming! Our eSports enrichment program is growing strong after making its debut in the fall as part of our Expanded Learning Opportunities Program. eSports has students exercising their critical thinking skills, engaging in career exploration, learning to collaborate, and more. Lincoln State Preschool students learn the love of reading and show their Dr. Seuss Spirit along with teachers Ms. Castañeda and Ms. Medina.

Juniper State Preschool students in Ms. Soto and Ms. Sanchez's classes learn about the importance of recycling and reusing items. The students had the opportunity to bring in items to reuse to create 3-D art. The activity provided opportunities for learning, sharing and socialization.

Please join me in congratulating Georgina Allardyce as the State Preschool Classified Employee of the Year! Georgina has been supporting our program as a paraeducator since 2006. She is reliable, flexible and caring.  When asked about her job, Ms. Georgina answers without hesitation. "I love my job".   Thank you for your continued support of our staff, students and families.

Congratulations to our 2023-24 State Preschool Teacher of the Year, Ms. Castañeda!! Ms. Castañeda is a lifelong learner who continues to advance in her own professional goals and development. She provides a safe, nurturing and wonderful learning environment for her students. We are happy she is a part of our team!!

Rain Delay: The LCAP community meeting originally scheduled for tonight, Thursday, February 1, has been postponed because of the weather. The meeting has been rescheduled for February 27.

Important reminders: There will be no school on Monday, May 29th in honor of Memorial Day. The last day of school will be Friday, June 2nd. We will have a minimum day. Morning Session 7:45-9:15 Afternoon Session 10:00-11:30

Congratulations to Ms. Castaneda and Ms. Perez. They started off their Mother's Day by graduating from San Diego State University with their teaching credential!! Lifelong learners and wonderful teachers! Congratulations, again!
