Miller Families,
Here's our Engagement Calendar for the month of August. Moving forward, you can expect our Engagement Calendars to be shared on all of our social media pages and school website by the last day of the month. We look forward to working with you this school year!

Dear Parents,
I am excited to welcome you to Miller’s 2023-24 school year! The staff and I are looking forward to working with you and your child this school year. We will continue to strive to provide an exciting and rewarding educational experience for each student at Miller Elementary School.
First Day of School: Tuesday, August 15th
For the first week of school, parents ARE allowed to walk students on campus to their designated class line on the blacktop (K-5th grade). TK parents may walk their child to the TK playground. Starting Monday, August 21st, we will be adhering to the following arrival and dismissal guidelines:
Arrival: TK students will come in the main gate and go to the TK playground. Parents will be allowed to walk their students as far as the TK gate. K-2 students will enter through the main gate. 3-5 students will enter the Brotherton gate. Upon arrival, all K-5th students will go directly to their blacktop where they can play until the 5 minute warning bell.
Dismissal: TK and Kinder students must be picked up by a guardian directly from their teacher at the main gate; 1st and 2nd grade students will be dismissed from the main gate. Students getting picked up in a vehicle will walk to the dismissal area. Grades 3-5 will exit through the Brotherton gate. Families who wish their younger students to dismiss from the Brotherton gate can have siblings walk together to dismissal.
Food: Breakfast will be available in the mornings from 7:30-7:50 am for K-5th grade students. TK students will be served breakfast after the start of school. Please plan accordingly if you would like your child to receive breakfast. School breakfast and lunch will be provided free of cost and no application will be necessary.
Medical Appointments: I want to encourage all parents to make medical appointments after school hours to help assist your child in receiving a full and consistent day of academic instruction. Please follow our school calendar (attached) to make plans for these appointments and vacations.
We highly discourage parents from taking his/her child out early. Every instructional minute counts!
