Community Advisory Committee

California Education Code (Part 30, Chapter 2, Article 7, 56190) requires each Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) to establish a Community Advisory Committee for Special Education (CAC). CAC membership is composed of parents with students who receive Special Education services, parents with students in general education, district staff members from both special and general education, community agency representatives, and any community member who is interested in Special Education.

The purpose of the CAC is to advise and work collaboratively with the North Inland SELPA districts on special education policies, procedures, programs, and parent education as mandated by California Education Code.

What can the CAC do for you?

  • Provide support and answer questions.

  • Introduce you to other parents and get to know some of the EUSD Special Education staff members.

  • Help you become informed about Special Education processes.

CAC Meeting Calendar:

All meetings, trainings, and programs are held at the North Inland SELPA office at 1710 Montecito Road, Ramona 92065. The trainings start at 4:30 p.m.
