Morning Greeter Opportunity Deadline is this Wednesday, 8/27/25. Be the Change you wish to see in the World!
We're looking for friendly, caring, and dependable students in grades 2-5.
Morning greeters are expected to:
* Follow the Bernardo School rules at all times. Be safe, be respectful, be responsible, and be scholarly.
* Display positive behavior in their classroom and around Bernardo School.
* Be dependable, and show up on time (7:35am) to greet on their assigned day each week.

If you are interested in being a Morning Greeter, scan the QR Code on the flyer to complete the Google Form to submit your digital Morning Greeter Application. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Hanel at crhanel@eusd.org

Our goal is make students feel welcome and happy when they arrive at school each morning. We want to spread kindness at Bernardo!

Hello Mountaineers! Today is Early Dismissal Thursday at 12:15pm for all students, please plan accordingly to pick up your student on time. Make sure to have your teacher/student name sign up on your dashboard for a speedier pick-up. Also, don't forget about our awesome "Annual Ice Cream Social" happening tomorrow, Friday the 22nd from 6 to 7pm, to enjoy a free sweet treat, so bring the whole family out and socialize with other Bernardo peeps! Tuesday, August 19th - First Day of School; Parents get to walk their students to their classrooms!
Wednesday, August 22nd - Parents get to walk their students to their classrooms one last time!
Thursday, August 21st - Bernardo Spirit Day; 8:15am we'll have our First Fire Drill, and it's our first Early Dismissal Thursday at 12:15 pm, please don't forget to pick up your student on time!
Friday, August 22nd- PTA sponsored Ice Cream Social from 6 to 7 pm. See you there!

All our TK students had an amazing Zoo petting day last Friday. It was the perfect day and the perfect soothing experience we all had, including for us staff. We could not have ended the week in a better way. Just check out these pictures! 🤗🐓🐖🐑🦆🐇🐗

Oh boy, so much is happening at Bernardo we can barely keep up. Our Bernardo Art Show was Awesome! We hope all our families enjoyed it, as well as, our Open House last week. The artwork looked amazing and it was great to see work that spanned all grade levels. A huge thank you to our Art Show Coordinators for all the planning, along with our incredible team of Parent Volunteers who helped with the set-up, and those who stayed after to help with the take-down. A special thank you to our amazing classroom Art Docents who led the art projects all throughout the school year. Our students received on-going, engaging, and enriching art lessons that they absolutely loved, and the projects displayed reflected the amazing instruction our students received!
