Greetings Rincon Community,

We are thrilled to share some wonderful news from our recent recognition ceremony held on Thursday! This week, we celebrated the hard work and achievements of 18 of our remarkable students who have successfully been reclassified. This milestone not only underscores the determination of our students but also highlights the dedication of our teachers and the unwavering support of our families.

Reclassification is a significant accomplishment, signifying that these students have achieved a level of English proficiency that equips them to succeed academically alongside their native English-speaking peers. This achievement means they no longer require specialized language accommodations and are fully prepared to embrace new challenges in their educational journey.

We commend our students for their perseverance and commitment to excellence. Their success is a testament to the collective efforts of our dedicated educators and the continuous encouragement and support provided by you, their families. Together, we are fostering an environment where all students can thrive.

Thank you for your partnership and involvement in our school community. Let’s continue to celebrate our students’ successes and support them on their path to greatness!

Congratulations to Our Classified Employee of the Year: Ricky Lopez, SEAS Para-Educator. Ricky stands out as a beacon of calm and professionalism. His unwavering dedication to our SEAS program and the students he serves is nothing short of inspiring. Ricky consistently demonstrates reliability and a commitment to excellence. Whether facing challenges inside and outside the classroom, he steps up to provide the consistency and structure our students need to thrive. His ability to remain flexible and prepared ensures that each child feels supported and valued. Thank you, Ricky, for going above and beyond every day and for being a true source of inspiration to us all! Let’s celebrate his incredible contributions to our community!

AVID College Week 2026

Students have researched colleges developing slide shows that a prospective college applicant would find useful in deciding on where to apply to college. All students have presented their slide shows to their peers during class, and I couldn't be more proud of them.

On March 6th, students will present their research to Rincon students during periods 1-3. Student audiences will be asked to complete a "College Bingo" card identifying the AVID Presenter and college they learned about.

Families are invited on Friday, March 6th at 6:00p.m. for students to present their learning!

Other AVID activities next week include a teacher college door decorating contest, AVID college rocks every day, sidewalk college art and motivational college messaging on classroom windows. Students will also be making college buttons for staff to show their college spirit.

Go Rincon AVID!

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Let’s finish this trimester strong

Together, we can make this a fantastic year for our students! Together we are better in setting up our Bulldogs up to B.A.R.K (Believe, Achieve, Respect, and Kindness) for success!

With gratitude,

Principal Meglich
