American Heart Challenge

Our American Heart Challenge is underway! We are proud to partner with the American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge service-learning program. Students learned how to keep their hearts happy and healthy hearts while raising lifesaving donations to help others with special hearts. Families can also learn the important lifesaving skill of Hands-Only CPR! Sign up TODAY at http://www2.heart.org/goto/JuniperEscondido or download the AHA Schools app to participate.

1st Grade Field Trip

Mrs. Craven, Ms. Vega and Mrs. Aere class will be going to the Museum of Making Music on March 13th. First grade students will enjoy a hands-on learning experience exploring instruments, music history, and the joy of making music. Please make sure your child arrives at school on time and wears comfortable shoes so they are ready for a fun and active day of learning.

Clothing Donation

Our school nurse is in need of extra clothing for students who may need a change of clothes during the day. We are especially looking for new underwear, shorts, and other bottoms for boys and girls in sizes appropriate for ages 3–7. If you are able to donate, please bring items to the nurse’s office. These donations will be used for students who have accidents or unexpected spills.

Phone Policy

To help maintain a focused learning environment, smartphones, smart watches, and other mobile communication devices may not be used while students are on campus. If students bring a device, it must be turned off and kept in their backpack during the school day. If a device is used or visible:

• 1st offense: The device will be taken to the office and returned at the end of the day.

• 2nd offense: The device will be returned to a parent or guardian and a contract will be signed.

• 3rd offense: The student will be required to check their device in at the office each morning and pick it up after school for a period of time.

If you need to reach your child during the school day, please contact the school office and we will make sure your child receives the message. Thank you for your support in keeping our classrooms focused and distraction free. For questions, please call 760-432-2462.

Secure Campus

Thank you to all staff, students, and parents for supporting our secure campus on February 26. We prepare for all situations with our school community each month, and our students did a great job!

Parent Support

In the event of a campus situation, we ask that parents please keep the parking lot clear and remain off campus until the school lets you know it’s safe to return. Your support helps keep everyone safe.
