Hello Central Families, the TK/K gate on Broadway will close every morning at the first bell at 8:05 so teachers can walk their students into the classroom for class to begin by 8:10. After that, parents need to report to the front office. Thank you.

There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, September 4 in honor of Labor Day. School resumes on Tuesday, September 5. September 5 is also picture make-up day, so if you missed your chance previously, Tuesday is the last day to have photos taken.

Parents/Guardians are invited to come join us!
We value your feedback, comments, and your participation. Coffee with the principal is the time parents have to hear about school programs, gain instructional data knowledge, ask questions & share any concerns pertaining to our school. This school year there will be 3 sessions, each session is designed to converse directly with the principal, Crystal Underhill.
It’s also a great opportunity to meet other parents and become involved in your child’s education.
When:
September 15, 2023
January 19, 2024
April 26, 2024
In Room 38 at 8:30am
*Light refreshments will be provided
Any questions please contact Gladys Zavala, Family Liaison at 760-432-2431.

FOR STUDENTS ATTENDING DEL DIOS NEXT YEAR...
Hello Incoming Dragons...
I want to welcome you to Del Dios. If you are going to be a Dragon next year I have a summer challenge for you. iReady is available to you all summer for both math and reading practice. We have more than 10 weeks of summer so if you complete and pass 20 or more lessons from today through August 14 you will be treated to an iReady party...pizza, ice cream, and an extended lunch! We look forward to meeting you in August. And save the date...orientation is Friday, August 4 from 8:00 - 12:00. Our office is open until June 12 if you have any questions.
Have a great summer!
Lisa Pitard, Principal

Enrollment is now open for full-day Transitional Kindergarten. If your child, or a child you know, was born between 9/2/18 and 6/2/19, he/she is eligible for TK. Students who have already turned 5 can register for kindergarten. Don't wait until August. Do it now while there is still room. The office staff can help you with registration through June 23.

Friday, June 2 is the LAST DAY of school! Dismissal is early at 12:25. Please check the lost and found bin in front of the school if your child is missing any clothes. All items will be donated if not claimed on Friday. Have a great summer and stay safe.

Devices can be effective learning tools, if used responsibly. There are many websites to take advantage of over the summer. Check out the attached list of resources.

We are getting excited about our yearly jogathon coming up THIS FRIDAY! Kids should wear comfortable running shoes and lightweight clothing. This is our last fundraiser for the year, so send in your generous donations by May 24. The class that earns the most money will get a PIZZA PARTY. Students who run the most laps or bring in the most money will also earn individual prizes. Let's GO, Cheetahs!

Central School's yearly jogathon is Friday, May 19. This is a fun way for students to raise funds for our school by collecting donations from family members, close contacts, or places of employment/businesses. Fliers explaining the jogathon are being sent home with donation envelopes. We will let you know how many laps your child runs so you can return your generous donations by May 26. Prizes will be awarded to students who bring in the most donations. Good luck, runners!

Please note the last day for state preschool is Friday, June 2. It will be a minimum day. See the attached flier for more information.

Central teachers and staff are the most dedicated people around! Please take a moment to read the attached flier and see how you can show your appreciation. Thank you.
