iPad Updates English/Spanish How To

IPADS NEED TO BE UPDATED

The update takes a while so students should do it once they are done with classwork or overnight.

If you cannot connect to the internet, first go to Settings > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

Once your iPad quickly restarts, go to Settings > Wifi and reconnect to your wifi. Then close all apps and browser pages.

After resetting network settings, you will probably also have to rename your iPad. Settings > General > About > Name

Rename your iPad with your first name followed by a space followed by your capitalized first letter of last name period.

If you do not do this, it could prevent Google classroom and Zoom from reloading if you ever later erase all content and settings on your iPad for any reason.

If your iPad has not yet been updated, go to Settings > General > Software Update and set it to update its iOS automatically if it is not already set that way.

If your iPad does not update while turned on and charging overnight (iPads will not update if at less than 50% battery charge), you may have to update it manually.

Go to Settings > General > Software Update
