Welcome students, parents, and families to the Home Education Program website! We would like to extend a warm welcome to everyone. We hope this tool will provide you with valuable information about our school and the Escondido Union School District, as well as provide access to other websites and information of interest for all students, parents, and community members.

We are anticipating another great year for the Home Education Program. We embrace the EUSD theme of "It begins with Me, It continues with Us!" Our students, staff members, and parents are committed to working together to foster academic growth in all students and to maintain a school environment that supports students academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our mission for the Home Education Program is to maximize every child's learning potential. We promote the value of lifelong learning, develop self-worth, maintain a high level of quality instruction, and transition students to become productive and responsible participants in society.

It is a privilege to work with such an outstanding group of educators, support staff, parents, dedicated students, and community members as we continue creating excellence in Escondido's public schools.

Be Safe • Be Respectful • Be Responsible • Be Trustworthy

School Clerk Yvonne Lotze wears many hats in her work in the Home Education Program. She handles all student enrollments and records, manages the program's budget, and serves as the program's librarian and health technician. Mrs. Lotze has been working in Home Education since the 2007-2008 school year. In addition to working for EUSD, she also has been an essential volunteer over the years, serving as PTA president at both Juniper Elementary and Bear Valley Middle. Not only does Mrs. Lotze take on many tasks at work, but she also juggles many responsibilities at home as the wife and mother of an extremely busy family. Mrs. Lotze even home-schooled her daughter through our program for a while and was quite successful.
