2021-2022 Board Meetings

On August 19, 2021, the EUSD Board of Education meetings will reopen to the public. Meetings also will continue to be live-streamed via Zoom. Click here for directions on joining the meeting virtually. Agendas may be accessed here.

Public comments: The public may address the board regarding an agenda item or another topic that lies within the board’s jurisdiction. For special meetings such as Study Sessions and Board Workshops, only items on the agenda may be addressed in public comments.

Individuals who wish to address the board in person should complete a “Request to be Heard” card located on the table at the entrance to the boardroom. Before the opening of the meeting, place the completed card at the recording secretary’s workstation.

For individuals joining the meeting remotely, the link for public comments will be available between 6 p.m. the day before the scheduled meeting and noon on the meeting day. The form to submit a written comment may be accessed at this link. This form may also be accessed in item A.2 of E.1 of the agenda. These comments will be shared with board members before the board meeting. The form asks that you include your name, the agenda item number you are addressing, and whether your written comment should be read aloud. Comments must not exceed three minutes or 450 words in length.

Board policy limits oral presentation to three minutes or less. An individual speaker may not cede their time to another speaker. The board shall limit the total time for public input on each item to 20 minutes. The board may reduce the amount of time per speaker in order to accommodate more speakers. Please note that a timer will be set.

Without taking action, board members or district staff members may respond briefly to statements made or questions posed by the public about items not appearing on the agenda but are not required to do so. Additionally, on their own initiative or in response to questions posed by a member of the public, a board member or staff member may ask a question for clarification, make a brief announcement, or make a brief statement. Agendas: Board of Education meeting agendas are available via BoardDocs Pro, a paperless agenda system. All documents associated with each board meeting are archived automatically and can be accessed by date or by using the system’s Search feature. Agendas are posted 72 hours before a regular meeting.
